Upsetting young boy. 12th November 2012

Origional Message:

Dear Moto45 (I'm almost certain this incident concerns Paul Taylor.),

Thank you for upsetting my son Laney, on Sunday, bringing him to tears. I don't know if you know, but he's only 10! I suggest that in the future, if you don't want riders on the track, you need to marshall the start properly to prevent confusion. If there is a rider down, use your red flag; you've been provided with it for a perfectly good reason!

I think you owe my son an apology.

Terry Monaghan

The Marshall were helping the rider who was stuck on the circuit. I will apologise for any upset to your son however I will not accept that I made him cry the situation that he was sent home may have but my personal actions to your son . No one shouted at him I understand he only a child and this is why he was never made to feel it was his fault. I do not accept that I am being arrogant I just take the running of the circuit very seriously and as I explained before its not one rule for one for another. I have no personalvendetta against u or laney and wud never want anyone whom visited moto 45 to have a bad day

If I remember correctly (which I do), you shouted, "Who let him out on the track?!" I turned around to see what was happening, and I watched you pick up the checkered flag, whilst on the bridge and stand there with it. This clearly happened after Laney had entered the track. He was not to know that somebody had fallen if you put the flag up after he appeared on the track. So, this means we have understood your rules correctly, but you however aren't doing your job correctly. It was only a simple misunderstanding, but still because of the fault you had made to not put a flag up. I'm still not happy with you, and your response because you haven't apologised or even understood the point I'm trying to get across. You have upset my son, because of a fault on your behalf, and you're far too arrogant to even admit it. An apology would be suffice right about now, and I'd be more than willing to accept it.

Hi I am very sorry to hear that your son was upset . I need you to understand the rules and reasons for fact you asked to leave ! moto 45 do not Marshall children and there policy there own parent does. The cheque flag was out which means that some one stuck on the track . There was over 20 kids that day and no one else child went out on a cheque flag! I need u to understand that if a 450f had come out on a cheque flag when ur child had been stuck on track flew over a jump and landed on him , I'm sure u wud of been happy to have him sent home ! We only have two rules don't ride in carpal and don't go on track until everyone from session before is of! It is quite clear that u did not understand rules as u were expecting us to put red flag out on a session we don't Marshall due to are insurance policy. I'm sorry for upset to your child but motocross is a dangerous sport and as a parent you should been aware session was over . Just trying keep everyone safe . Thanks moto 45
